Greenfield Piano Associates
Greenfield Piano Associates is a group of people
with varying musical backgrounds who all share a common dedication
to good piano playing.

|
Master Class with Jan Meyer Thompson |
The group was founded by pianist Elaine Greenfield as an educational
organization and as a vehicle for bringing her mature artist-students
before the public. Greenfield heads the group of students teachers,
performers, and piano lovers. They join together to promote
excellence in piano playing through public and private performances,
master classes, study and critiquing sessions held in each other's
homes, and through outreach projects. Greenfield Piano Associates
is strictly not for profit.

Collection of historic pianos, Ashburnham, Massachusetts |
Whether one is performing in an area recital
or master class, or participating in a weekend afternoon group
piano seminar, the focus of GPA is always the same --- to develop
and share a deeper appreciation of the piano as a musical instrument
and vehicle of expression.
Invitation to Membership
Greenfield
Piano Associates enthusiastically welcomes any student, teacher,
performer, or piano lover who would like to encourage the group
and its work by becoming a supporting member. Members receive
newsletters, announcements, and calendars of events, and are welcome
at any meetings, workshops, or concerts. We invite you to join
or renew your membership.
By being a supporting member you help with the expenses of presenting
public performances (tunings, hall rental, programs, publicity)
and any additional mailings of newsletters, concert notices, calendars,
special announcements, etc. Also, we regularly use our membership
funds for specific musical projects. For example, GPA led a fund
raising campaign for a new concert piano for St. Paul's Cathedral.
Also, in years past GPA has sponsored workshops for Vermont piano
teachers, a special concert for young pianists, a workshop in
Alexander Technique, donated a collection of music to Adamant
Music School, an artists bench to St. Paul's Cathedral, and awarded
scholarships for piano study.
We would welcome you as a member. Please see membership
form for details.
